Colette Nap
Owner, Colette Nap Architect Inc.
Colette has 23 years experience in architectural design since graduating in 1987 with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. She has worked as designer on various building types both in Canada and abroad. She has operated her own architectural practice for 21 years in which she has specialized in residential design of all types, custom, multi-unit, rows, apartment buildings and small commercial projects.
More recently, she has also specialized in accessible home designs for both new construction and renovations, responding to a need that exists for this expertise. This is a highly detail focused type of design where minute changes in construction and/or design can mean a completely non-functional space for the user. Not only does she do this for her clients but for her own home she developed many accessible features which came from a desire to make the outdoors more a part of the indoor spaces.
Colette is also a licensed Ener-Guide Energy Advisor for new home construction, and has extensive experience designing R-2000 homes which economically produce high standards for energy efficiency and air quality while incorporating environmentally friendly building materials.
Colette has experience in interior design, millwork design and furniture selections for both residential and commercial projects, providing the building users with client inspired distinctly creative solutions.
